Kids With Cameras is an innovative factual format for ITV1. The uplifting series asks young patients in hospital to tell their stories in their own words. Over 100 youngsters were given cameras and asked to record their experiences of hospital. The results are intimate, funny and surprising.

Children aged 6 to 16 talk to the cameras about their illnesses, interview their parents and record themselves undergoing treatment, eating, playing, taking medication, and interacting with medical staff. Whether they’re in hospital for an everyday injury, major surgery or life-threatening illness, the videos provide an intimate look and fresh insight into what it’s really like to be a child in hospital. The series is narrated by MARTIN CLUNES (Doc Martin).

Kids with Cameras started life as a Thursday night primetime series for ITV1 in the UK. The format has been remade by Shine Endemol Group company Simpel Media as a six part series, Kids Mit Cameras, which aired on the public broadcaster NPO1, achieving over 1m viewers.
